My ferret Conan was just diagnosed with lymphoma. Conan has been losing
weight and not been feeling well for the past week. My vet felt a mass
in his abdomen, so he did a needle biopsy and sent the samples off to a
pathologist. The results came back "chronic lymphocytic lymphoma".

Needless to say, I was devastated. Last night I re-read Dr. Williams
article in "Ferrets" magazine about lymphoma and looked it up in all
my ferret books. I was very surprised to learn that it may be virally
transmitted between ferrets. Has anyone on this list actually seen this
happen? I got scared and I separated Conan from the group, but it breaks
my heart that he will have to spend the rest of what little time he has
left all by himself, without his ferret buddies.

If anyone out there has any experience with this I would appreciate any
feedback.

Thanks,
Serena and her 20 paws
