Thanks again to everyone who sent me quick resposes!!  I actually got an
e-mail from the general manager of Performance Foods Inc.  Jeff Bateman.
He assured me that batch # HORO4A was a good batch and that they have not
changed the formula!  He said what your smelling is batch variation and
even though everything is maintained the same, sometimes they will have a
slightly different smell.  He said I could pour a tablespoon of warm water
over it when the bowl is refilled and it would enhance the aroma.  So, if
