This morning I could almost swear, I heard Bubbles singing:

I"ll be fuzzy fur Kissmas!
You kin bet on dat!
Mommy got me
Deslorelin,
when I went to the vet

Melatonin did not work
Lupron din't eeeder
I was the ony
naked fert
eating at de feeder

But........

I'll be fuzzy fur Kissmas!
You can bet on dat!
Mommy got me
Deslorelin
Now what do you tink of dat?!

A little background. Bubbles is a 5 year old 1.2 pound live wire ferty.
Non-stop action is her goal. She started showing signs of adrenal
disease about a year ago. We started her on melatonin implants. I did
not do much. She went from having fur only on her head and legs to
having a strange tuft running the length of her back with bald stripes
along her sides and her tail. When coupled with Lupron, her fur did
thicken but we didn't see the rest of her fur coming in as we had
hoped. So.......10/30/09, she got her first Deslorelin. Yes, she did
get sleepy, which is very contrary to her personality, but I did not
worry. I have two others on Deslorelin, and I knew the scoop.

It's not quite a month, and Bubbles has fur everywhere.......Yea!
She went through the serious itchy stage, which I helped her out by
brushing her daily with a very soft baby brush. She loved it and would
actually sit still for a little bit. I guess all the fur coming in at
once is quite itchy, she had a couple spots where she itched too much
and they got red, that's when I started brushing. It didn't look like
fur yet, just darker skin. Now she isn't itching, and her fur is about
1/8 to 1/4 inch long. She's so proud too! Momma still keeps brushing
once a day, it seems to soothe her.

I cannot say enough about these implants, they have helped all three
of my little buddies. We were unsure if this would help Bubbles or the
next step was surgery, but it seems to be working and after she got
used to the implant, she has been back to her bouncy dancing weasel
self.

If anyone is thinking about it, I hope this helps.
