As most of you know with the passing of Sneezy, my business is now down
to two ferrets. Both of them are elderly ladies, six and seven. I am so
terribly afraid for one of them becoming my only. They have never been
onlies. I have talked to someone who's opinion and advice on ferrets I
admire and take seriously. I was afraid that adopting another family
would add more stress to Bubbles and Pepper. But I think the stress of
being the last would even be greater. I have been told that adopting
older ferrets would not be a bad idea. With the encouragement and
support to add to my business, that is exactly the advice I am going to
go with. I live in Mobile, Alabama. I have been told there is a rescue
here, but have not been able to find out any information on it. I would
like to adopt several ferrets. I would even seriously consider taking on
a group of up to 4 if it was a group that shouldn't be parted. I need
the assurance that none of them have had ECE or been exposed to it and
they would have had to have been tested for ADV and proven negative. I
will not put my girls at risk. I believe there are some shelters in the
Florida panhandle, which isn't that far away. I know my vet would be
willing to vouch for me if a shelter requested that kind of confirmation.
Please email me off list so we don't take up valuable space here, if you
can help me locate or know of a shelter I can get in touch with. Many
thanks ahead of time.

For the love of ferrets and the human hearts they hold,

Rascal, just loving everyone and everything, and Nosey, war-dancing and
bumping into everything!
