Hi Y'all -

My wife and I have two sable jills approximately 18 months old, Silk and
Velvet. As I ate breakfast the other morning, Velvet was over sniffing the
tree and climbing on the lower branches. Later she came over and scratched
my ankle in the "Daddy, I need a snuggle" signal. When I picked her up and
nuzzed her face I noticed that she REALLY smelled like the Xmas tree. She
had rubbed her forehead in the tree sap, there was a space the size of a
quarter where the fur was matted with it. Fortunately, my wife was just
getting in the shower, so she was quickly joined by the sticky, smelly tree
sniffer.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get the tree sap off the ferrets
without having to bathe frequently? I'm concerned about drying their skin
with frequent baths, but they seem to "collect" little patches of sap on
various parts of the body as the day goes on. Anybody know of a "spot
remover" product for ferret bodies?

Replies can be emailed to [log in to unmask] or posted in the FML (I hope).

Thanks
