In such a situation also be SURE that if you are adopting TO someone that
you can be sure beforehand from their treating vet that the remaining
ferrets do NOT have communicable diseases.  Deaths always have causes.
That is a topic often addressed both here and on the FHL.  Be careful not
to share those causes with your ferrets, whether by having additions or
by finding a new home for the ferrets you love.
