Alicia tells me that our little guy, Gabriel, seems to be feeling slightly
better. She is thinking his pain has subsided a bit now. This is VERY good
news!! I understand he is eating and drinking well, and he is very alert
and attentive. His sleeping bag and other bedding has to be changed daily
or more frequently, however, as he can't get around well, but this is the
least of our worries.

Efforts are being made to have a "specialist" look at him and tell us the
best course of action to help him heal. We are certain he will be in the
hospital for quite some time. If he does have a blood clot on his spine,
those can take months to go away.

Alicia and I are both planning to go to Orlando next week to the HSUS Expo,
so updates on Gabriel will not be coming during that time. We will keep you
informed up until I leave early Wednesday, but I think Alicia will be
leaving Monday or Tuesday, so I won't have anything to report once she had
left her shelter. I'll give you the latest word once I get the last report
from her Monday or Tuesday. Then perhaps she'll update you Friday or
Saturday when she gets back home, if she can get by to see Gabriel. I won't
be home until very late Saturday night.

Say a little prayer for our determined little boy. He needs all the help he
can get!!
