Hey all,
After several months of thinking about buying a ferret, and a few weeks of
lurking on this list, I fainally came across another student at my college
who wanted to sell one of his (three was just too many for his small
apartment). Anyway, I am now the proud owner of one 5 1/2 month old female
named Samatha.
I've had her for about three weeks now and she seems happy and healthy, but
I am a little concerned about her. I had gathered from various sources that
ferret feces are supposed to almost black, fairly dry and hold together as a
solid mass. Samatha's are a light brown and are moister and "mushier" than I
expected.
As I said, she seems happy and healthy and is drinking plenty of water and
eating plenty of food (Science Diet kitten food), but this problem (if it
exists) hasn't cleared up even after three weeks.
Having said all this, my main question is: Should I be worried? If so, what
do I do?

 Thanks.
