Hi folks,

Our webmaster has put in many hours and has launched the UPDATED website
for New England Ferret Foster, Education, and Rescue, Inc!! You can
browse our summer newsletters for some great articles, information, and
stories, and please check out our "Items for Sale" page which has the
following items:

The long-awaited "The Joy of Dooking: Favorite Recipes of Ferret-Loving
Friends"! Go to our website at
http://www.neferrets.org
and click on "Items for Sale". The cookbook's cover is shown on the
page; a cooking scene with a "ferrety" influence! Inside the book are
recipes from ferret lovers throughout New England and some from across
the country! Check out recipes from FML folks such as Sukie Crandall,
Linda Iroff, Risa DiVincenzo, Kelly White, Alexandra Sargeant-Colburn,
Kim Fox, Win Brown, Audrey Eckert, and many more familiar names! It is
a collection of really delicious and varied recipes - there is something
for everyone in this book! And there is a special section at the front
with some recipes JUST FOR FERRETS including two duck soup recipes!

The cookbooks retail for $10.00 with a $3.20 shipping charge. ALL
cookbook proceeds benefit the recueds ferrets in the foster care system
of NEFFER, and 25% of the cookbook profits will go directly to the ferret
rescue shelters of New England. There is a LIMITED supply of cookbooks,
so please order early! They make a unique holiday gift for ferret lovers
AND cookbook collectors!!

We also have our unique, one-of-a-kind CROSS-STITCH patterns up on the
Items for Sale page! NEFFER has created a collection of full-color,
detailed cross-stitch designs featuring some adorable ferrets! You
can click on the different titles and view a full-size version of each
beautifully detailed pattern! Pattern prices vary; see individual
designs. You can't find ferret cross-stitch patterns like these ANYWHERE
else! They've been a hit at shows and events we've been to. And as you
stitch up your piece, you have the satisfaction of knowing that the
purchase of one of our cross-stitch patterns benefits abandoned ferrets
in New England!

NEFFER is also offering The Ferret Company Calendar for sale through
our organization. Jeanne Carley was kind enough to make the calendar
available to shelters and rescues to sell to benefit their ferrets.
NEFFER has a very limited quantity of this hard-to-get item, just in time
for the holidays. This year's photography is even more brilliant than
last year's, so don't miss your chance to get one!

We are working on adding a shopping feature to our website, but until we
do, if you'd like to purchase one of our exclusive items, please don't
hesitate to email us at [log in to unmask] and let us know which item
you'd like! Or mail your check (payable to NEFFER) and your order to:

NEFFER,Inc.
P.O. Box 1165
Westfield, MA 01086

Currently we have 14 ferrets in our system looking for new homes, some of
which are waiting for surgeries. Your purchase of one of our items helps
us to provide care and shelter for some of New England's homeless
ferrets!

We also have added an information page about NEFFER's latest endeavor,
The Arthur-Lover's Fund. Arthur was a very special ferret whose story
will be featured in NEFFER's November newsletter. Arthur fought a long
but cheerful battle with several debilitating conditions, and lost his
fight earlier this summer. NEFFER has established the Arthur-Lovers'
Fund for donations which will be used solely to treat treatable or
curable conditions afflicting foster or sheltered ferrets. To date, the
Arthur-Lovers' fund has received many generous donations, all of which
have gone to pay for surgeries and procedures that have saved the lives
of foster ferrets. Donations to the Arthur-Lovers' fund may be made in
the name of a beloved pet (it doesn't have to be a ferret!). What better
way to memorialize a pet than to save another pet's life in his/her name?
Check out Arthur's page and the picture of the little guy who inspired a
whole fund in his name!

We appreciate the help we've gotten with our website and the amount of
interest we've had in our products and our group. Please be sure to
browse our pages explaining our mission and purpose, and if you're
interested in becoming a foster home for NEFFER, Inc and caring for a few
needy fuzzies on a temporary or permanent basis, please don't hesitate to
contact us - we ALWAYS need more loving foster homes for our ferrets!

Best,
Heather Wojtowicz
