It seems we rarely get updates on strays, so thought maybe I could
start a new trend. Earlier this week, I posted about a ferret at the
Lake Co. FL AC, that was bald(ing) and had a huge mass between his
legs. On Thursday the very nice AC officer, Denise, released him to my
rescue and personally transported him to Gainesville to Dr. (Kemmerer)
Cottrell at West End Animal Hospital. I spoke to Dr. C yesterday. He
is about 6 y.o. He is definitely adrenal, and the "mass" is his spleen.
His BG is low at 51. All other bloodwork is good, his heart sounds
good, and he is pretty active. She will be doing surgery on Monday
and I hope to go over and pick him up on Tuesday to bring him back to
Tallahassee.

He's an older guy and it will be a pretty extensive surgery, so he
needs lots of good thoughts and prayers. If anyone can save the little
guy, it's Dr. Cottrell. She's the best!!!
