Well I don't know how great of a job I can do saying what lexan is...Not
quite sure myself but it's on the bottom of our cage. If you go to a
hardware store, we bought ours at Eagle, it's back with the fiberglass
sheets. It's a plastic (I think thats what it is), clear sheet. We got
ours fairly thick so it wouldn't get bent up. The store will usually cut
it to size for you. I believe it's similar to what some companies sell
as a "door block" for ferrets. If you get it thin it's pliable.

It is slick and if your ferrets aren't used to linoleum they may do quite a
bit of sliding around. We cut holes in ours to attach it with wire to the
upper floor of the cage. It's easy to clean and so far indestructable!

Our Holley has been sick, not sure what but I called the vet (who is in
Yakima) and left a message describing the symptoms and asking him if he
could drop antibiotics off at my parents house for her and then if she
didn't respond I would find time to drive to Yakima and meet with him. (A
30-45 minute drive. Not fun with a sick ferret I'm sure) He never called
me back for more information just dropped the antibiotics off. I think
with the 14 mom and dad have and the 6 we have he figured I had pretty good
judgement in such a case. I feed her the antibiotics in some Turkey baby
food. She's definitely looking more Holley like (She's always had very
silky shiny white fur unlike many albinos)and feeding times becoming less
of a chore. Keeping the others out of the way while I feed is becoming
more of a chore. They've caught on to what's happening when she's on top
of the cage, but if I try to feed her out of their room she only wants to
explore.

Well that's all from Me, Dana (who works and never gets to use his email)
and the Havoc Wreaking Weasies. Frosty, Stoney, Holley, Halley, Harley,
and Dudley.
