To everyone who is trying to socialize rescued ferrets:
 
Please remember this little trick that works really well if a ferret grabs
hold of you with the teeth -- place two of your fingers directly over the
ferret's two nostrils and presto, the teeth disengage!  It's a very
effective technique.
 
It may be hard to remember this when you're in pain, but after a couple of
tries, you'll get used to it.
