The campaign in the media to get ferrets banned in New Zealand is starting
to gather momentum, and we need some hard data to counter some of the
anti-ferret claims that are being made.
 
Is there anyone in the US (or elsewhere) who has access to reliable
research data on such matters as:
 
The survivability of escaped domestic ferrets;
The number of domestic ferrets kept in captivity in the US;
The degree to which domestic ferrets lose their hunting ability; or
The incidence of attacks on humans by domestic ferrets?
