I do shop at the Mechanicsville Petsmart for ferret food and use the
Petsmart card for discount too.

I always check out the animals they have for sale, the cages always are
clean and animals very well kept. There are NO issues at this store.

I buy top grade ferret food and mix it with high grade kitten kibble to
cut costs while maintaining a good quality food grade for them. But the
last mix was disaster. Peekaboo did ok on it but Pester all but stopped
eating.

I had two plastic containers, 2 1/2 gallon containers, both full of
the mix. So I sat down and seperated the kitten kibble from the ferret
kiggle piece by piece and did both totally full bottles. Phew! That
took me two days but got it done.

Then I went to the Petsmart and got the regular stuff to mix. I asked
for a sample ot the Science Diet Kitten food where that formula is
excellent for ferrets, just want to test acceptability before buying a
huge bag. The manager said I could bring the bad stuff back for credit
! Amazing! So that was done too and they took my name, rank and horse
power to get a one pound sample of the Science Diet Kitten food for a
test run. Great!

That will help some. Science Diet does not have an address of any kind
to contact the company and is absolutely impossible to get in touch
with them. That alone makes me very suspicious of just what kind of
dang company are they anyway?

Time will tell but Thanks Petsmart for running an excellent store. Also
the manager was telling me of some person that wanted to get a pet for
the 4 year old, he discussed the needs of that animal to the mother who
then decided that for a 4 year old that was far too much. Great! That
saved some animal from a terrible life for sure.

Gordon, Peekaboo and Pester.
