Yes, there are great vets all over California.  You can go to the Ferrets
Anonymous website for an updated list, but don't be shy about calling
around either.  There are always some who are well qualified and are not
listed...yet.
 
As for the laws....always an uphill battle but still underway.
Californian's for Ferret Legalization (www.ferretnews.com) is a
great place to see what's going on currently and check out past
years efforts.
 
Oh, and don't be shy about checking out your local ferret groups and
shelters for information.  Ferrets Anonymous also has a list of these
as well.
