Hi,

This is response to Karla who asked about a soft sided animal carrier with
mesh. I use one for my elderly ferret, Slinky, every time I travel. I
sneak him into restaurants all the time, as I will not leave him in a hot
vehicle. It is similar to a duffle bag with mesh sides and front. The top
zips and one end also zips. It has a little support on the bottom. This
has worked great for me taking Slinky on trips in a vehicle. Have never
tried it on a plane. Slinky is the type to settle down and go to sleep on
a trip and is usually good when I take him into a restaurant. A younger
ferret may scratch to get out and ruin the fabric. I purchased my bag from
the Ferret Association of CT, but it was the last one they had and don't
know where they got them. He can stay on my lap on a trip, and I take him
out to feed him and let him use a litter box I bring along. He is more
comfortable than in the pet taxi.
