We were recently shocked to find that the insides of a catnip mouse
consisted primarily of thin sharp wooden splinters with very little ground
catnip. One of our fuzzies beheaded the mouse and we were lucky enough to
find it before began to chew on the inards. The particular catnip mouse was
made of heavy cotton fabric, not felt or leather. If your fuzzies have such
a mouse, check it out. Ours have gotten quite good at tearing apart such
mouse-like toys. they even tore the cover off a squeeky.
