My e-mail reading has been hit and miss lately. Seems awhile back I saw
reference to a chicken "gravy" recipe of Bob C's. If someone has it could
they e-mail it to me? I know his mail box is usually pretty full with more
important questions.

I live in south central Michigan. Anyone around this area know of a.vet
with experience in ferret ultrasound? I figure I'll probably have to drive
to either Detroit or Chicago.

For once I agree with Bill K. - on not breeding for different ferret
breeds. This goes for different color patterns often resulting in
deafness. I believe too that angora ferrets fall into this category though
I'm sure I'll get "corrected". This type of breeding can only result in
trouble - I think we have enough of a problem with cancers etc. now.
There's a lot to be learned from the dog and cat world. If we don't learn
from their mistakes shame on us. Talking about lessons - no caring dog or
cat person would ever buy one from a pet store for good reasons. Its
immaterial whether the pet store is good or not.

Companion animals should be gotten from reputable breeders period. Any
dog/cat breeder found selling to retail is usually ostracized from their
parent breed club and the reputable dog/cat community.

Its time to quit thinking "Well I..." and start thinking about ALL the
ferrets out there. Its my understanding that Pets Smart does not sell
companion animals and has set up a fund to help the A.H.A. Good for them.
