To all of you who held my hand, and listened to me cry, whine, holler, and
every other emotion you can imagine when we lost last year, and again in Jan.
 
I'm as human as the next guy.  I, and a lot of people in CA, break our
fannies for the legalization effort out here.  And when we lose, it hurts,
it's discouraging, and you want to pick up your toys and go home.
 
I appreciate all of you who told me to buck-up, helped me through the tough
times, and talked me out of telling the CA legislature what they could do
with their laws.  Thank-you.
 
In the hearing today, it was gratifying, rewarding, and downright
heartwarming watching these assemblmembers, who after we, the public at
large, had finally educated them on the wonders of the domestic ferret, give
our little girl display model, snuzzles, scritches, and yes one or two even
held her.  Sure a couple were still reluctant to touch them, but some people
have a problem with all animals.  This ferret was a doll, too bad she's on
the way to Reno.  Sweet temprament, beautiful coat and I'll bet given the
chance a real kissy girl.
 
Don't get me wrong, the fight is by no means over yet.  But at last we are
beginning to really see progress, tonight for the first time since I began
helping with this fight 3.5yrs ago, tonight for the first time since Fish
and Game visited my door steps the second time, tonight I am going to sleep
thinking it's really going to happen.  Today restored my hope and gave my
obsession a shot in the arm... so if you think I've been ruthlessly nagging
so far you ain't seen nothing yet.
 
Thank you..... Tonight I will sleep more peacefully than I have in quite a
while (of course it could be I haven't had any sleep in 36 hrs too)
