Yes, it is true, ferrets can get warts.  Dusty (1985-1994) had two of them.
Both were treated with a solution of formaldehyde and iodine, Don't know
what the percentages were as my vet gave me the solution ready-made.  Every
day I placed a drop on the wart with a Q-tip and I guess I was actually
slowly burning it off.  Took about a week and never hurt or bothered her.
The just dropped off.  She had a little scar on her cheek where one was and
another on her side.  Rocki on the other hand grew a wart on his ear.  I
believe the vet cauterized it to take it off.  No more warts to report.
