hi,

It's been a while since i last posted, so hi!! Ok the other day i got a
card in the mail from my vet asking me to make an appointment for a blood
test for my dog for heartworm. It said that its dangerous to give your dog
heartworm meds w/o making sure he/she doesnt have the worms. But i've been
going there w/ the ferrets longer than the dog, and they've never mentioned
a blood test for ferrets. I've assumed since its dangerous to give a dog
heartworm meds w/o checking for the worm, wouldnt it be dangerous for
ferrets too???

Are ferrets suppose to get a blood test once a year for heartworms too??
Please let me know soon since heartworm season is just around the corner!

Thanx,
Karri & f 'rats
