Hi all - been a while since I wrote. I have been out of commission due
to a job loss....most of my off time spent cleaning up after human kids,
fuzzy kids, etc. Had a computer - just no time to write, or read emails.
I am just now again working, and catching up. My God - seeing the story
about Quizno just about did me in. I wish I could meet the people who
did this to this poor baby. What is worse, the legal system will
probably just slap their hands. The only retribution we have is this:
What comes around goes around. You get what you give, in 3 fold. I can
only pray that God will in his time, exact their punishment. And I pray
it will be just as horrible as what they did to that ferret. I apologize
to those I may have offended with that statement, but I bet I am not the
only person who feels this way.

On to better things. I found a job - but I had to move to Chicago to
work. What sucks is I have a beautiful home in Albuquerque, but I have
to work in Chicago to pay for the house in ABQ -that I can't live in
cause I am in CHICAGO!!! Sorry. I feel better now. I did make one
concession out here....I brought two of the "kids" with me. They
wouldn't have handled me being gone for the 3 month assignment I am on
(I consult for telecommunications translations). So I packed em up and
out we went. Two days on the road......stop overs were the best, because
we got to educate so many folks on ferts! Move over dogs! MY kids are
in town!!! People love seeing them on their leash/harness.

The climate here is wetter, so they tend to "ripen" a bit more quickly
here, than at home. I believe that is due to the humidity and them
"sweatin". People - listen to me.....use Head & Shoulders on your kids.
I discovered they stay fresh and clean smelling twice as long as with
fert soap - and it is good for their skin - does not dry them out (no
yelling, I DID ask the vet and have monitored to make sure they didn't
have adverse reaction), I also have our local Petco using the Head and
Shoulders. Use original scent, and you have one clean, fresh, shiny
fuzzy!!!!! Petco was having a return rate, due to "stink" of about 17%.
Since advising new fert parents to use H&S, it has dropped to12 %. Try
it! You'll like it!

Anyways, two kids stayed at home, Artemus and our rescue gal. They are
fast buds, and there is no separating them. Too Fast (remember her
kids?) is now called Morganna (Godess of blood lust) - anyone want to
take a gander as to why she is called that? Hehe. Anyways -I have
Helena and Romulus - my first kids. We travel, each weekend from Chicago
to Michigan to stay at my sister's house. They free roam there, and have
given her cat a complex.....she has all wood floors in a new house, and
all you can hear is thump thump thump slide, slide, swish, swish - as
they all skid around after each other. Why am I telling you all this?
Because I am amazed at their resiliency - and adaptability. They seem to
enjoy traveling, as much as I do, and when I jiggle the keys on Fridays -
they dash to their cage and climb in....now isn't that backwards? The
drive is only 3.5 hours (or if your me, 2 hours *wink*) and they do
very well. Anyone else have ferts that love to travel? To me - it is
odd.....not used to that. I am staying at a pet friendly, long term
facility called "The Homestead". Write that down kiddies, it is the ONLY
one I found that would let me bring my kids......imagine......dogs are
not litter trained, but are more welcome? Bet Howard Johnson's couches
stink! Cats are on the off list for most places too. Anyone know of any
other chains that are pet friendly? If so - let me know. I travel alot
and want my kids with me.

Take care all! Glad to be back!
