About the shelter person that thinks her ferret is a rodent, ask her to
look at the teeth. Rodents have gnawing teeth, ferrets are carnivores
and have carnivore teeth just like dogs and cats.

Sad reminder that just because someone works in a certain field it doesn't
mean they are knowledgeable in that area. This worker needs to be told she
is wrong and specifically because of the way she may be keeping her ferret
(caged like a rodent all the time, feeding rodent food?????).

If you have any ferret books you can take them down and show her what
the book says or if you don't check out a book on ferrets at your public
library and show her that way.

Hugs. tle
