Re my opinion on ferrets/babies

First off I believe that the ferrets should NOT have been put down!  I
think the mother of the child should have been charged with child neglect
because she left the child/animals unattended!  Who in Gods name would
leave a new baby alone with any animals running loose?  I don't even leave
my 3 older children alone with my animals, and they are 11,9,4 years of
age.  This deeply saddens me.  It was not fair to the animals.  I think
the parents are the ones ultimately responsible.
