Hi Y'all,

Well, it has been a very weird last week for me, having some trouble with
all the wonderful pollen and such in the fall here. Sniffle, sniffle.

Did get all the blood work back on the kids, and all have extremely
elevated hormone levels. That is, all of the 6 we suspected of being
adrenal.

So come Wednesday, I get to choose three for surgery. Then again on
Friday, I take in three more. Sigh. So everyone keep your fingers
crossed. I am very worried about Miss Maisie and Miss Sadie. They are
both looking rather poorly. But I will be giving them some good duck soup
and herbs before and after the surgeries.

Outside of that, the mob and me are training Mr. Chris to watch out for
landmines when walking around the house. Chris is also trying very hard
to learn names, but bless his heart, he doesn't see them that much. Two
nights ago Miss Pookie (DEW) and Max (Sable) ran up to see him. He petted
them, asked their names and stroked Pookers when she stood on his black
tennis shoes. Yes, he is getting used to white hair.

But then tonight, he is standing next to my desk while I am shutting things
down. And up runs Miss Esmerelda (very light silver mitt) and Harry
(sable). Chris, feeling good I am sure, looks down and says "Hi Pookie,
Hi Max." I then calmly walk by and say, "Oh no, that is Essie May and
Harry." At which point Harry decides to climb up Chris' jeans, thankfully
on the outside and gets all the way up to his waist. But I don't expect
him to know their names (I mean there are 29 after all and even ferret
folk have problems), but Chris does pride himself on his grand memory.
hehehehehe.

He has never said yet that he likes them. He has said he doesn't like the
smell. But I am just letting the mob win him over. And every time he
comes over he picks up whoever asks and scratches them on the head. OK,
so he is a dog person and just needs to learn to relate to them. But he
is doing a good job, bless his heart. And yes, I am still careful about
letting them mob him since I do have a few that nip and some that bite
hard. Chris is a wimp in the pain department, so we are going to have to
build up his tolerance.

Here is something sure to start a debate, I am going to a fancy dress ball
on Halloween and am thinking about trying to make a leather fetish look
halter for one of the ferts and take them along with me. You know, kinda
like in the Big Lebowski. Was thinking about getting a small cage and
letting the ferret stay in there most of the time, but trying to dress the
cage up for Halloween, which would entail making the ferret look evil of
course. BUTTTTTT,,,,, I do have some reservations about this, even though
the party folk all know I have these cute little critters running around.
Thoughts? Comments? Yelling?? OK, no yelling, I am not a masochist.

What about me you say? I haven't decided yet actually. Might be a bad
school girl kinda thing with a pink corset or a vampire/goth looking thing
with a black corset. Gotta go see the Rocky Horror show you know. ;-)
