Today I went to the old age home where I go several times a week. When
I got there I was told that my friend, Dorothy had been taken to the
hospital.

Dorothy was a dear friend to me, and to me the mother I lost many years
ago. She loved the animals I took to visit her. She loved them all. I
even snuck ferrets in to visit her.

I went to visit her today, on her birthday, only to be told that she had
suffered a stroke yesterday and had gone to the hospital earlier today.
I drove to the hospital to find her in a comatose state. I am
devastated. They tell me it is only a matter of time now....

I hate freakin March. I lost two ferrets last March , Taz and Tut and
on other years in the same month I have lost my goat Calliope, and my
precious schnauzer, Schatz..

Sorry, but I just do not have anyone else to tell this to.

My wonderful friend, Dorothy, in her younger days, loved a drink of
Weiser's whiskey.

I lift my glass to her and I toast you Dorothy for all the memories and
all that you brought to the lives of me and my pets. I know that we
will all see each other again someday, but I will miss you every day.
