I live in Holland and can tell you a bit about it.
 
We don't have any quarintine overhere.  You have to give them all their
shots including rabies ( I'm not sure if it's nescesarry but better be save
then sorry).  The shots have to be more then 2 weeks old ( at least) We are
blessed overhere Fuzzies are absolutly legal and not common yet.  We have
only one registerd shelter called "Stichting 'De Fret'".  They have over 15
years expereance with ferrets and they are the former home of 6 of my 8
fuzzies.
