We use a Brita water filter.  The water here isn't too bad, but the Brita
improved the taste immensely.  We're also not having half the stomach upsets
we did before.  Of course, our ferrets, parrot and dog guide get filtered
water.
 
Bottled water is an option also, but the filter is much more convenient.
