I feel very fortunate because my sofa came ferret proofed completely by
accident. There are no legs on my sofa. It sits directly on the floor,
nothing can get under it. I don't plan on ever replacing this sofa, I'll
have it reupholstered first. It is also the most comfortable sofa I have
ever experienced, and I often prefer to sleep on it rather than my bed! I
have looked at sofas in the stores out of curiosity and I don't see them
built like this, it seems to be a fluke. But I've always wondered, can't
those little legs be screwed off or cut off so that the sofa would sit
directly on the floor?
