Did anyone see the show Emergency Vets on Animal Planet Sunday night? A
guy brought his ferret (named Bhudda) in for possible head trauma, from an
iron falling on his head. The guy came home and found his ferret lethargic
on the floor next to an iron. He was an irresponsibly owner. He lets
Bhudda (4 months) have free roam of the house. Any, Bhudda was exploring
and ended up on a shelf and couldn't get down. Only your imagination can
see what happened if the iron and Bhudda was on the shelf together. The
doctor looks at Bhudda and sees that something is definitely wrong, the jaw
was out of alignment and Bhudda was obviously in pain, but still lethargic,
he wasn't the regular vet that saw ferrets so he put Bhudda in a recovery
cage with oxygen. By the time the ferret vet got there, Bhudda had some
how popped his jaw back into place, presumably by yawning or trying to open
his mouth. He wasn't lethargic any more and seemed ok and in no pain. So
off to home with one real uneducated owner, sufficient to say. Bhudda sure
deserves better. He was a beautiful little sable.
