The only times we have had to give medication were both with under-weight
ferrets who needed supplementation.  That being the case, we mixed the
crushed pills with a teaspoon of heavy cream, and both ferrets loved
getting their meds!
 
Depending on the medication, the medical problems, and the ferret's
tastes, there should be a similar method available in most cases.  Talk
to your vet and ask what supplementation he would recommend and consider
using that to deliver the meds.
