I live in southern central New York State and often see mink along the
Catatonk Creek while kayaking.  They are very shy and I usually only get
a glimpse.
 
Last spring near the dam in Candor I watched a mink hunting amongst the
rocks at the base of the dam.  I took a few pictures, but they are from
quite a distance and not nearly as clear as the beautiful picture of the
martin (?) on the deck.  I'm not sure how to link them here, but I'll
e-mail them to anyone who wants to see them.
