The trial in the California Domestic Ferret Association's lawsuit
against the state department of fish and game is scheduled to begin
Dec. 14. The suit seeks a judicial declaration that ferrets are
not wild animals and thus cannot be banned by Fish & Game. The legal
costs of the suit are expected to exceed $20,000.  CDFA needs
donations to cover this cost.  FML readers who live in California
are especially encouraged to contribute, but I'm sure CDFA will
take money from any ferret lovers who believe in this important
