Jeannine,

When my ferrets have gonse stubbornly off food, it often was a symptom
of a gastric ulcer. Eating makes them feel bad, because it gets the
gastric juices flowing, which aggravates the ulcer. You're giving him
flagyl, which should help with the ulcer itself. What's been successful
sometimes for me was Carafate or Gastrafate, in addition to the
antibiotics. They coat the stomach, like Pepto, so it doesn't hurt as
much to eat. Also, the softer the food, the easier it is to digest, so
the less aggravating it is.
