To: [log in to unmask] - I tried to e-mail, but the address would not work.
Subject: How did you get there?

If it is a climbing or stuck ferret - it is usually a female. If it is a
jumping ferret, it is usually a male. If it is a digging at the door and
gets it open trick - it's a male.

Females:
climbs to top of cages and then shimmies down between two cages to get stuck.
climbs the side of a cage and jumps into an empty trash can and pulls the
grabage bag in on self trying to get out.
climbs up cat post to ceiling and gets on cat shelf to climb into the ceiling
tiles covering the heating vents.
Climb to a shelf over the doorway which i store empty cat carriers on and
push them off the shelf to crash on the floor, other ferrets, my head...

Canadian males and some others:
can jump my room barrier (26" tall) in a single bound (okay, so they jump a
few times before they get their nails over the edge, but they are quick about
it!).
can push open an unlatched door which is on a hydraulic spring to keep it
shut, and then let themselves out by pulling the door untilthey can get their
nose through.
