ferret caught in cage

Just a few minutes ago I was reading my mail and heard a horrible screaming
from my ferret.  She had her foot caught in the corner of the cage.  She
is fine, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen.  It is a
super-pet funnel cage.  The large 4 story one.  Is there anything that can
be done about it besides getting a new cage?
