It's walkathon time! Oh, don't groan yet.

This is not your regular old walkathon. You don't have to travel hours
to come join us here in Toronto. It's a walkathon you do in your own
area anywhere in Canada (Us residents can also do the walk, but tax
receipts can not be issued due to US tax laws). You can do it in a
group, you can do it alone, you can do it with your dogs, or your kids.

The general idea here is that on Sunday July 25th between 9 am and 9pm
you head outside and go for a 2 K walk, to raise funds for the shelter.
Make sure your pledge sheet is good and full before you head out there
to have yourself a nice relaxing and helpful walk! Good luck, have fun,
and keep us updated. We appreciate your support.

Walkers! There are prizes for most money raised! A gift basket full of
goodies will go to the person who raises the most funds. Also those who
raise over $100 will receive a "Real Men Play with their Weasels" OR
"Good Girls Tickle Their Fuzzies" T-shirt, Those raising over $200 will
receive BOTH T-shirts. Anyone raising over $300 will receive BOTH
T-shirts, some fuzzy memorabilia and treats and those who raise over
$400 will receive BOTH T-shirts, some fuzzy memorabilia, treats AND a
genuine Maltese ferret penny pendant!

Tips: Get your friends involved! Co-workers, classmates and friends are
a great way to help raise funds. Get them to sponsor your walk or join
you in getting pledges! Remember, ANY donation over $10 will receive a
tax receipt!
