Hi there! I think I know where your little bit came from! I have a Real
Canadian Ferret as well! And by the sounds of things....they could be
siblings heheheh.

There is a paper attached to my cerificate obtained upon purchase of kit.
as follows

Breeder: CDC PET BREEDERS
Address: BOX 73, Roseisle, Manitoba, Canada, R0G 1V0.
          Phone: 204-435-2031 204-745-6366

Also on this sheet is the name of the vet clinic and D.V.M.'s and signature
of vet that did the neuter , descenting.

Now for a bit of not great news. Shortly after acquiring my baby (he is
fine btw, no problems other than deaf) I came across an article on the net
(lost the url...ferret info banks or something) about a nurse who had
purchased a kit from this breeder. I think that this is kinda Canada's
version of MF's. Anyways, the kit was supposed to be 7 weeks old upon
purchase. The surgery was dated and said the ferret was 6 weeks at the time
of the operation. Well, she felt, as a nurse, that the incision couldn't
have been more than 3 days old. The kit was unable to eat on its own....was
more like 5 weeks when she got her (thats what her vet thought)! NOt only
that, but the stitches were supposed to be disolving....they weren't! Her
vet removed the stitches, along with bits of anal gland left in the kit!!
This was a few years ago mind you and there was a letter written back from
this vet clinic etc, etc.

I too feel that my kit was not as old as they said! He was supposed to be 8
1/2 weeks old when I bought him! He was quite little and his milk teeth
came out about 2 weeks later! I wonder how old he really was when neutered
and descented?? I could be wrong...I don't know. He is very healthy and
active....although he used to nip just a bit too much is doing excellent
now! I am also happy to say that the afore mentioned little girl ended up
growing to a large size and a healthy body and tempermant! I am not trying
to critisize any of these breeders, just try to be aware of possibilities.
I have no idea wether or not there is a big differance in size , tempermant
etc of Canadian ferrets compared to American ones....I've only had Canadian
ferrets!! :) MY first was a real handful, the second was a very sweet (and
fast) guy, and this one seems to be in the middle of the former two! Good
luck with your Li'l Bit!! :) He sounds like a blast!!
