I'm so glad to hear the enthusiasm about writing the media on California's
behalf! Now, just don't get discouraged if you don't hear back from these
places immediately. They get tons of story ideas all the time. It would
help if there is a topic that is very current, like Pat W. and the bite
case. Just don't give up! Keep hammering away and pestering them. The
more requests they get on a single topic, the more likely they will figure
the interest is and the more merit the idea deserves. It might also help to
get the snail mail addresses of these shows and news sources. Sometimes the
request in writing gets more attention than an e-mail. We are used to just
jotting down a quick message on the ol' puter, but some of these folks like
the more traditional forms of communication.

So, how many of you are out there on this FML? What are the numbers, BIG?
If everyone took a few minutes to write to at least one California news
source or one national news magazine show, than that would be a flood of
mail! Come on, you non-Californians! Show your support to your fellow
fuzzy lovers and get out your pens! All of us together can really make a
difference! It is important to all of us because it is a violation of our
rights. One never knows where one could end up living, right? How about
typing up a great letter on your computer, and then just keep changing to
whom it is addressed, and print a copy out to every source we have listed on
the FML, plus any others that you can think of (Dennis Miller was a very
creative idea!). We ferret folk are of especially high intelligence,
right?:) At least, we are very creative!!:)

Let's pull together on this one!
Gaye & The Weasel Women

[Moderator's note: I don't know how many Californians are on the FML. A
totally wild guess? I'd say a little over 100... but just a guess. BIG]
