Hey MC-

I hear you! You know that could relate to any NUMBER of folks who write
for (or did write) for Ferrets Magazine.

The harsh reality is that Yes MF, and numerous other corporations who make
money and a living off of these animals ARE advertisers- which provides
the circulation for this magazine-- ( any magazines) no difference to
that or other commercial publications -- but to NOT write means that the
community at large may NOT GET ACCURATE knowledge. I also think leaving
that to uneducated corporate hired staff is far more dangerous than having
ferret knowledgeable folks contributing critical information on care &
handling of this special animal.

I have written for Ferrets and still do not herald the ferret mills and
the exploitation of ferrets for profit. Obviously anyone who has
dedicated nearly 10 years torescue and huge amouonts of moeny for the
cause is not going to be overjoyed by promotion of ferrets through retail
trade.

The harsh reality is this is NOT a perfect world-- but to ban submitting
ferret accurrate materials because you disagree with the advertisers puts
all ferrets at risk which are being merchandised. I will take a hardbite
of the bitter pill and submit articles when requested- if I can fnd the
time-- in order to hopefully save a ferret from lack of information. We
can hope for a perfect world-- but it won't be here tomorrow!

This is the e other side of the coin I am sorry to say.

So whomever it is you referred to- ( it could be any number of folks) you
referred to -- well I fully understand the dilemma!

PS- we just drew blood for ADV testing on 2 - 14 week old MF kits- they
were deposited at a HS only 3.5 weeks after purchase....
