Hi,
In response to Risa's query on spleen problems in ferrets, a polecat jill
called Nipper had her huge spleen (five inches long) successfully removed
last year. The spleen had been visible in her underside and could have
burst at any minute killing her. There was risk of internal bleeding
with the op but all was well. I have a photo of the spleen and Nipper
and can get more info from the reader ie: details from the UK vet
involved etc.

Best wishes,
Jenny Loweth, editor Ferrets First magazine (UK)
