Someone posted saying that their vet would not give her ferret a rabies
shot.  Where I live, in Cook County Illinois, rabies vaccines and tags are
required by law for ferrets.  I'm sure your vet would know if it was a legal
requirement but you should make sure.  I believe that this law only came
into effect a few years ago here.
