hello all,
 
i have an offer to those who need a few things.  where i work at uses a
plastic material that is melted called "hot melt." it goes on pop-top
aluminum lids for a variety of foods......but the thing about it is that it
also comes in a clear, plastic bag about the size of a big walmart or kmart
sack.  i have been collecting them because i know many shelters use them
for garbage sacks and used litter bags.  right now, i have enough to fill
two boxes to send off to anyone who wants them.  i can get enough bags to
fill a one box every week since this particular press nevers shuts down.
i must warn you first that some of these bags may still have a few bits
of hot melt in them (looks like a small, 1/2" white, and waxy--careful!!
fuzzies may want to chew on it if they find it!!), so shake out the bag if
you have ferrets that do a little trash barrel diving!  at the rate i'm
going with these bags, i could send out 52 boxes a year helping out 52
shelters in a year...wow, talk about feeling a little satisfaction! :)  of
course, i'm still scouting for more heavy duty ceramic bowls or dog dishes
that can be used for shelters too......i haven't forgotten the emails sent
for the ferritlady or for carolyn distel.  so, any one who's interested in
these bags, please send me a name and snailmail addy and out they'll go.
first two replies will get them and the rest will get them as i get a box
filled.  just doing a small part--

ps-- for those who attended the ferret extravaganza 98'--when do you think
everyone will forget the girl who mistook her male for a female??  i think
everyone i've met remembers me for that one..lol....if i became rich and
famous, i would still be remembered by the ferret folks as the girl who
mistook her male for a female.  oh well, at least i'm infamous right
now(G!)!!
