for the Aberdeen Bestiary, written in England in about 1200.  Some other
pretty strange beliefs on those and adjacent pages!
 
Noteworthy though on the second page is that there are two kinds of
weasels, one that lives in forests and one that "roams around in houses".
Presumably the latter are our domestic ferrets!
