My thoughts are that if you make an offer to pay the breeder with a money
order and they refused, then there isn't much they can do.  Worst case...
they file a small claims case against you.  It is unlikely that they would
win as long as you have a letter showing your offer to pay "in full" by
money order.  So if you haven't offered payment that way, then I suggest
you do.
 
Oh, send the letter registered so they have to sign for it.
