To Jen and Morgan who won't stop licking her:

Jen, licking humans doesn't imply nutritional deficiency. Many ferrets
do it, either as a nervous habit, or pssobily a vice. For quite a few, it is
simply and invitation for you to play, just like they would do with another
ferret.

I have one ferret who does the same thing, but concentrates on my hands
and face (I'm not sure why). I think she does it for reassurance, as she is
blind, and is trying to use her other senses to compensate.

Another one of my ferrets when you are holding him for too long, will
lick a couple of times and then chomp, so that you put him down. As we don't
indulge him in this activity, he has pretty well stopped it with us, but may use
it to manipulate other bipeds.

Finally, all of my ferrets will do this to my feet if I get out of the
shower.
