I just spoke with Lacey and man, she is really busting her butt out
there. She has the shelter completely dried out, new drywall is up
(spackled and taped), new heater and water heater in and is now
painting. She has received monetary donations totaling $1,500 but needs
an additional $1,500 to finish up. The additional money is for some
dryers and a pump (to dry out the shelter) that she put on her credit
card, she needs linoleum for the bottom of all the cages (approx. $200)
and a ton of litter ($300) and of course food. So far she's received:

$1,500 in paypal and checks

Two $25 Home Depot gift cards

One $25 petsmart card

One $100 Petco card

One $25 Visa gift card

She's about two weeks away from bringing all the ferrets back, so we
need to all get on the ball and get bedding and that kind of stuff sent
to her for her re-opening. She has, so far, received no packages with
bedding (I know Crafty Weasels said they just sent 31 bedding sets -
THANK YOU, FLORENCE and all our peeps at Crafty Weasels) so that will
help, but Lacey needs more. She needs that linoleum, litter and food
at the shelter for the kids to come back. Lacey has not been able to
work since the flood as the repairs are taking up all of her time.
Thankfully her job has allowed her to take the time off but of course,
this just puts an additional strain on her since she's not getting
paid.

Please, donations in any amount would help. Spread the word by passing
this along. Donations are tax deductible and can be sent via Paypal to:

Lacey says she has between 100 and 150 ferrets at the shelter at any
one time. We really cannot afford to lose any shelter right now,
especially one that has such a high ferret count. We are only inches
away from getting Lacey through this, but we need one last push to get
her back on her feet. She has been a pleasure to work with and has been
fighting tooth and nail to get her shelter back. Let's get her the rest
of the way!
