You don't want to have them not protected and having the vaccines overlap
will not hurt them - it is always better to be early than to be sorry and
have a ferret come down with distemper.
 
Also - do not have your vet give the distemper and rabies at the same time.
Many ferrets will have reactions and if they are given both at the same
time, you cannot issolate which vaccine the ferret was having a problem
with.
