Clare - I've gotten Totally Ferret at P.T. Moran's in Maryland (Montgomery
and Prince George counties).  Just check the phone book, or e-mail me, for
locations.
 
I also located those triangular, high-backed ferret litter-boxes at several
pet stores in the area: Pet Supplies Plus in Silver Spring, Pets America in
Gaithersburg and Rockville, and Brothers Pets in Aspen Hill.  Brothers Pets
has a whole ferret section, so they might carry Totally Ferret too, but I'm
not sure.
 
Okay, since I'm posting anyway, I'll tell you all about my new ferret.  Her
name is Perdida (derived from the Latin word for lost I think).  She's the
first sable we've had, and as much as we adore our silver ferret, there is
just something so utterly "ferrety" about Perdida when she peeks her little
masked face around the corner.  You just know she's up to something.  She's
a climber and a jumper and a foot-biter, all new experiences for us.  I was
nervous about getting another ferret because I didn't know how only-ferret
Gypsy would react.  There have been no bushy-tails, no blood.  Basically,
they have just avoided each other.  We got Perdida as a play-mate for Gypsy,
but until today, I started to wonder if they would ever play together (it's
been about a month).  But I think we witnessed their first play session
together today.  Cool.  I really recommend having two or more ferrets.  It's
just more fun and love.
