Here I sit and to the horizon stare
and yet at what? I known not where.
But on that hill 'neath summer sun
I'm sure I see you skip and run.

Then, per chance I hear your call
and then I see in golden squall,
a rainbow bridge that glistens bright
and seems to stretch beyond this night.

So now for you, decision made
good bye kiss done and thanks well paid.
Onto the bridge I see you hop
and then you slow and turn and stop.

And though you feel you'll miss those dear
you must go now, your time is near.
And though we stay with teared eye
at least we got to say good bye.

And so good bye sweet Tally dear
until next time your needed near.
You break off play to come and boast
how much you love those who love you most.

Good bye from one who forgot to say it when he had the chance.
